This current bill/proposal and it’s $800 Billion dollar down payment on social change will kill any recovery and the fact is that it is only a start. Immediately after this so called rescue plan passes we will be told the banks are collapsing again and need more funding, the dismal car sales have upped the need for bailout funds and these industries are too big to fail despite their not meeting their agreement to have a plan for profitability. That is not all, then there will be the need for universal health care which will include “everyone in the country” whether you are here legally or not.
Unfortunately the spending in this package is not temporary and will create programs that will ensure trillion dollar deficits for the foreseeable future and debt for our great-great grandchildren. It is a clear danger to the survival of our great country as we know it. This bill is absolutely the most irresponsible and incredibly dangerous piece of legislation that could ever be crafted. The only stimulus possible from this bill is if it is defeated.
“The Chosen One” (Obama) seems to be already becoming very ARROGANT. The criticism he hears is only ‘CABLE CHATTER’, those are his words. He needs to understand that the a large percentage of people that voted for him, only have the phone number of their local welfare office, not CONGRESS. The tax payers will have a new vote coming up in 2010.
The reality is state governments don’t have the luxury of running ongoing deficits like the Federal government. There is Social Security, Unemployment Benefits, Medicare, Prescription Drug Benefit. Soon we will likely have government take care of our health care (nationalized health care). They have already begun the process of nationalizing banks. We are to blame for allowing this to happen.
The rescue package should be SMART and SIMPLE. It should be about Preserving, Protecting and Creating jobs, NOT passing spending projects that have NOTHING to do with stimulus.
This rescue package is a complete waste of our money and it really is as simple as that. All you need to do is ask yourself line by line the following questions and you then know whether or not to remove the line from the bill.
1. Does it create an actual job?
2. Does it represent a tax cut?
3. Will it stimulate the economy immediately?
If the answer is “NO” to either of those points then you remove the line and if the answer is “YES” then you keep it in the bill. Once you go through all of the lines whatever is left is your *NEW BILL*. IT REALLY IS NOT THAT HARD!!!
This current bill has absolutely nothing to do with saving the economy. It has everything to do with creating a Democratic majority for many years to come. The America that stood for freedom and liberty is gone. Now we enter what I like to call “The Era of American Fascism”
Sad but true. The further and further we go down this road, the more difficult it becomes to turn back around.
Ya I was pretty blunt in my post but man, an economic recovery plan? This plan is nothing but what all the dems wanted to pass the last 8 years! Who they trying to fool?
The only thing this Bankrupt America Bill is going to stimulate is the anger of all Americans.
And they didn’t waste any time. Big O has been in office for less than three weeks.
